I’m trying to paint some fibre reinforced plastic sleepers. Because when I went to buy the paint was a long weekend I went to Bunnings which was probably not the best choice.

Anyway, I was sold this water based primer -> https://www.taubmans.com.au/products/taubmans-advanced-adhesion-and-mould-blocker?Sheen=Prep&Size=0.5

I sanded them lightly to remove the sheen with 120 grit and painted it on half of them. It was about 3 hours ago and I thought I’d check with my nail and it scratched clean off. I’ve then gone down the chat gpt route which suggested a water based x primer is the wrong choice. Thought I’d ask actual humans again before continuing on and /or going back to Bunnings

Does it need more time to cure?
