Anyone have luck contacting a player about a card?

Last year I pulled a 1/1 Topps Now for one of the Mariners players that I know is a card collector. I tried messaging them through IG but they don't accept messages. Has anyone here ever had success contacting a player and seeing if they were interested in a specific card?

My son and I ripped a Mega box and got a nice Lightboard Logo. So we decide to rip a second and hit this Tom Brady Ultraviolet. Easily the best card we have pulled from Topps Chrome NFL.

My son bought me one of these for Christmas and I picked up the other three over the past couple months. The last one (the one on the right) just arrived today. This is by far one of my favorite cards ever. Hard to believe these are pencil drawings!
