Hi everyone,
I'm wondering how feasible it is for me to actually run the marathon. For context, I am doing a 20 week plan and am just under 6 weeks out from my marathon. I been running very casually for 6 or so years and have run two half marathons (very casual, minimal training). The first half of the plan went well and I found myself improving quickly. Once I got past about 10 weeks I noticed I was beginning to feel very sluggish and struggling to get through my runs. This caused me to a skip a few runs (all easy or speed runs during the week). Adding to this, I am in very rigorous school right now, and my past two weeks have consisted of 12+ hour days studying. This has left me exhausted with little time for runs. I have done maybe 5 runs in the past two weeks, all 3-5 miles only. During 2-3 of them I even had to walk due to feeling completely exhausted. School will be letting up a bit within the next few days and I will have less issue time-wise getting training in, but morale is low.
Originally, I wanted to run a sub 4. I ditched this goal around the halfway point as I realized it was a bit too ambitious. Now I'm questioning if it is even possible to finish without it feeling miserable. I am also unsure how to get back into training as I don't want to overdo it but am feeling the time crunch. Any training advice or words of wisdom would be helpful.
