I found this seedling close to 6 weeks ago growing under a bush nearby this orange dream Japanese maple. It’s really done quite well on the front patio with watering just twice a week though I expect I’ll need to do some more once the heat picks up.
I found it really interesting that it’s kept the distinct border color contrast if the parent but it appears to have a much deeper color when placed side by side even though the new leaves (it’s growing a few more now) are still a bright green. Has anyone seen any similar varieties. Not sure what to call it.
