Hey everyone,

Cooking with a recipe on your phone can be pretty brutal. You constantly lose your place, the phone turns off, you're scrolling through ads to find the recipe all to find out was it 1 table spoon or one teaspoon of chili powder? Then literally rinse, repeat through the entire recipe. Don't even get me started when I'm supposed to use flour. "Knead until dough is smooth and no longer sticky." Yeah, I've never seen that, its always sticky...

I built Suvio: AI Cooking Assistant to fix this. It’s a voice-first AI cooking assistant. You import a recipe (URL, photo, or TikTok), leave your phone on the counter, and just talk to "Rachel" while you cook.

Why an LLM instead of a normal recipe app? Because kitchens are chaotic and linear recipes break down fast. I routed this through an LLM so it can handle the weird, dynamic stuff on the fly:

  • Context memory: "Wait, what was I supposed to preheat the oven to?" "How much chili powder again?"
  • Smart substitutions: "I'm out of heavy cream, what can I swap in for this specific sauce?"
  • Hands-free timers: "Set a 5-minute timer for the beef."
  • Cooking specific facts: "How many oz are in a cup?" "How do I know when chicken is done?"

The app just launched on the App Store last week and I have struggled to find what's working and what isn't working for new users and how to correct/iterate on the fly without breaking everything.

Would love to get feedback from this community on how the app functions, the UI, or any advice from folks who have launched consumer apps before!

Thank you for your time!
