Anime suggestions where the main character is forced to work for the (shady) Government or Organisation? Especially if it involves assassination. Spoiler-y examples that I already know about are in the description.

I am looking for a very specific niche of character, sorry.

Examples:

Itadori from Jujitsu Kaisen (works for shady organisation to postpone his own execution)

Eren from Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin (risks life on the frontlines so the government doesn't execute him. I mean... he wanted to beforehand, but he's still being forced to do it)

Nagisa from Assassination Classroom (even if it's for a good cause, the government was still forcing his class to commit a murder)

Denji from Chainsaw Man (both the Mafia and whatever is going on with Makima works here.)

IDK if DC has made an anime about Suicide Squad yet but I'm putting them in just in case because they fit perfectly.

EDIT: Mash from Mashle also technically fits in a way? (Only one Government guy is controlling him, but he'll get executed if people find out, so...)

I adore Maomao's mad scientist side, so for the purpose of this, let's ignore the fact that she would get arrested/sued six ways to Sunday for experimenting on herself. And let's be real, that might not even stop her.

  1. The main problem with the modern era is that most of the things she experimented with have cures by now. Burn medicine, most rashes, a lot of non-lethal snakes.

  2. The second problem, is that I can't see her infecting herself with most of the stuff we haven't got cures for yet. STDs/STIs, lethal snakes, cancers, or anything that would affect her neurologically, since she needs her mind intact to work.

  3. Thirdly, she can't force mental illnesses on herself even if she wanted to.

  4. And four, even for small things she can infect herself with that don't currently have cures, like most colds, I cannot see her infecting herself with, since it can't easily be contained to a limb if something goes wrong.

So in essence, what areas of modern medicine would benefit from Maomao's numerous healthcare violations?
