Hey chat - am I cooked? (Emailed about late audition packets)
A local theatre is doing a production of Mary Poppins, and I filled out the Google Form for an “Audition request” on February 26th. I got an initial email (pic #1) saying that I should receive my audition date and materials within a couple of weeks.
Flash forward to March 25th, I emailed back asking if they had a timeline bc I will have to adjust my work schedule. They responded that they expected to send out everything on March 27th. (Email pic #2)
Flash forward to April 4th, I still have nothing so I followed up to ask if they had been sent.
I know local theatre producers/directors are very busy and this is usually NOT their full time job. So I completely understand that not everything is going to be quick and I really am trying to be patient. BUT now I’m worried that they didn’t send me the audition information bc I emailed them too much.
If you were a director or producer, and someone emailed twice between Feb. 26 and April 4, would it annoy you?
Even if this is just a rant, please be kind. I’m just a retired theatre kid trying to get back into it.
TLDR - Signed up for an audition 43 days ago, emailed about and was told packets would be sent to everyone March 27th, now it’s been 2 weeks with no info and no response after I emailed 3 days ago.
