So the first 2 minutes and 30 seconds kind of just exist for context. He comes up with a clever idea, then some kind of problem arises, he solves it, then the next problem comes up and he solves that too, and then the next… you get the idea, no need to yap about it. But there’s this funny part at 00:26, so that’s that.
So now the main thing, the idea at 02:57 works because, as Nobita is being pulled from behind, the magnetic attraction causes him to accelerate and gradually increase his speed. This is exactly what he imagines at 03:05, when Nobita says “I can stay attached right up until the finish line”. As he gets closer to Bolt-kun, his speed has to become slightly greater than Bolt-kun’s; otherwise the gap between them would never close, I hope yk this part.
But the really clever part is at 03:07, when Nobita says “Then at the end, I’ll peel it off and overtake him with my own strength!” By removing the badge at the very last possible moment, just before the finish line, his speed does not suddenly decrease, so he still retains the slight speed advantage he built up while catching up. On top of that, his own final burst of speed adds to the momentum he already has, making it just enough for him to move sideways and overtake Bolt-kun right before crossing the finish line.
Now, the thing is, everyone would’ve been happy with second place, considering he would’ve probably come last otherwise, lol. But Nobita is different, so bro just goes ahead and applies a concept that he hasn’t even been taught yet. He doesn’t know the concept at all-bro just imagines it and says, “Yeah, that’s exactly how it would work” lol. Full confidence btw at 03:11 he says “This is the only way!”, like he just knows that’s exactly how it works, completely imagining it btw.
The best part is that Doraemon didn’t even hear the idea, because Nobita basically monologues the whole thing in his head. If Doraemon had heard it, he would probably be like, “How the f*** did you apply a concept you’ve never even heard of and don’t know anything about either? Like, what…?”
Now, all this right here is just an idea that Nobita came up with in his head. But when it comes to actually performing it, yeahhh…. I think we know how that went, I don’t think I need to say anything about that one. He comes up with a really clever idea and solves all the problems regarding it too, but fails at performing it. Whatever happened to him at the end was 100% deserved though, regardless of how ridiculously clever the idea was-especially coming up with it in like 10 secs when you don’t even know about the concept either. But at the end of the day, cheating is cheating no matter how ridiculously clever it is. So that bad ending for him was very deserved.
