Hi everyone,
I’m considering filing for EB2 NIW and wanted to get a realistic sense of my chances.
Here’s a summary of my profile:
Field: Biomedical engineering (medical device R&D in a hospital setting)
\~8–10 years of experience
Currently leading engineering work for clinical-facing devices
Work has been used in real patient treatments (not just lab research)
Co-author on a peer-reviewed clinical paper (well-known journal)
Some ongoing research collaborations internationally
Filed a patent related to my work
Involved in mentoring and some conference/poster presentations
**Proposed Endeavor (generic):**
Continue developing and translating innovative medical device technologies to improve patient outcomes, particularly by addressing unmet clinical needs in cardiovascular and related conditions.
No major awards or massive citation count, but strong translational/clinical impact.(life saving- also mentioned in reputed journal publication)
Do you think this profile is competitive for NIW?
Any advice on what areas I should strengthen before filing (letters, publications, etc.)?
Thanks in advance!
