Paronychia! Help!

Hello fellow nail biters! I (26m Type-1 Diabetic) was diagnosed with paronychia last Wednesday. I was told it was too early to try and drain, there was not much there yet. I was given a topical antibiotic and an oral was sent in on hold if it didn’t begin to improve in 2 days. I’ve bee on the oral since Friday.

The damage seems to have come to a halt, but still red and puffy. Bigger than it was on Wednesday. Should I give it more time with the oral antibiotic? Go back and have them try to drain it? Drain it myself? I have plenty of sterile needles around being diabetic. Will attach a picture as well. Any advice is helpful as I am a first timer. Not afraid of going back to urgent care!

Hey all,

I (26M) started playing golf about 6 years ago. Have gotten myself as low as 10 index, started to creep up the end of last year. Currently a 12.4.

It is the start of the season in the Midwest. I was lucky enough to play an outdoor round in February. It was my usual 86 with a few short putts left out there.

Fast forward to April, the weather is turning and it’s time to get outside. My first range Session was as bad as I can ever remember hitting a golf ball. Thin, thin, thin, fat, thin, fat. Toe hooks, high shove out to the right. Left telling myself it’s early, I will figure it out. I have had 10-12 range sessions, played 4 rounds. None of which are under 95, and today fired a 102, my worst round since my first year playing golf.

I’ve had a few lessons with my pro, and I have a million thoughts in my head. I want to blow it all up and start over. Subtract not add.

My question is this, do you have a favorite video you watch to get your feel back when you feel like you’ve lost it? I can’t keep mashing balls on the range and not improving.

TIA!
