What will happen if you find out not eligible for FHSA after open it for 2 month?
I recently found out I am not eligible for FHSA because I have lived with my husband in the same house which he owned it from 2021 to 2025. I opened FHSA in February 2026. I double checked to my advisor about situation and he said yes. so I thought I am eligible. Now I don’t know what should I do. can I cancel account and get back my money? Does it count as income tax if their fault make mistake that I was eligible?
