Is anyone else finding the S2 storylines, dialogue, and character development, weak? I am.

Let me preference this by saying, after watching the simplicity and excellence of ‘Wonder Man,’ I’m extra critical with BA S2.

  1. The dialogue this season is incredibly cringe: stereotypical, basic, emotionless. BB Urich and Daniel Blake’s scenes are written without an ounce of creativity, unfortunately the acting for BB makes the lines sound even more empty. Even, Kingpin’s dialogue while Vanessa dies is really out of character and painful to listen to. Vincent tries his best.

  2. The show is suffering from too many characters and storylines. It needs to be way simpler. The storyline of Matt’s exe, Buck, White Tiger, Bullseye. Along with the uncreative dialogue, it makes it tough to care.

  3. Write the characters with more complexity and intelligence. In Ep.6, Karen is trying to make Matt understand the potential value with committing murder by killing Bullseye, and Kingpin. Matt is so surprised by this?? Whaaaaat. Matt out of everyone understands the temptation that comes with wanting to murder your pain away. So like, write his lines with more insight, understanding. Same with Karen, write her with more complexity and differing views.

Ya’ll lets discuss.

I felt Netflix’s Daredevil series, especially S1 & S3 was some of the best superhero television, that embraced its genre but also was a well-rounded drama. Even BA S1, though it had less action, it gave the characters more to work with and had more mystery.
