Hello, my mum and I have booked a 7 day trip to Athens this September and we are both so excited! We're both quite into history and want to visit the big archaeological sites + museum while we're there.

We're obviously planning to see the big sites like the Acropolis (+ museum); the Agora; Olympieion; Parthenon etc, but we weren't sure of the best way to buy tickets for them. Now that the Greek government no longer does the combo ticket, the individual costs of 5-6 major sites in Athens is over €100!

I've looked at things like the Turbopass; Athens City Pass; and the GetYourGuide passes, but none of them seem to actually work out cheaper than just getting the tickets?

Just wondered if anyone who'd recently been or who knows Athens well has any advice for cost effective ways to visit all the major sites and has any recommendations?

I'm sadly now 25, so can't get into anything for free / cheaper rates either!
