The neverendiny L2 saga - and I still am happy with Aventon Support

Let me start out by saying nothing I am saying here is bad against Aventon Support. They have been beyond awesome. These guys deserve a beer or 10 without a doubt.

I guess this is more of a mechanical or am I doing something wrong question.

My bike was originally bought from Eriks and honestly, the support has been meh from them. They seem to only want to sell bikes and not support after.

Being in the Chicago metro area, they seem like the only real support system for these bikes besides aventon themselves.

I currently own :

An Aventure 1 step through with almost 4k miles

A L frame level 2 step through with 1k (S/Os bike)

A L frame level 2 step over (mine) with 1200 miles

A M frame pace 350.1 for my neighbor's kid who started riding with us (he has a single disabled mom and we are like the second parents here)

My bike, the L frame level 2 started to become a problem child at 750 miles.

  1. 750 miles the rear hub motor started making funny noises. Two weeks later aventon has a rear motor at my door. Swapped out. No issues.

  2. 800 miles the factory seat post glue gave way on the post itself and I dumped the bike at 0 mph stopping because it turned on me and threw me way off balance. Scraped up my hand and it was ugly. Aventon sent a new seat post and other stuff. I ended up upgrading the seat shortly after.

  3. 850 miles the front shocks started flaking. Badly. Replaced the front forks after reaching out to aventon. They covered it like pros.

  4. 900 miles the LCD started to bubble. Just disregarded it until now. Called them yesterday and they said they would take care of it again

  5. 975 mies the front bearing set took a crap. No big deal, bought new set from LBS and he even helped me install because he was impressed with the frame on this bike.

6.1200 miles the battery won't charge. Called aventon and they are working on getting me a replacement. Swapped with the other l2 I have and it's definitely the battery.

My other aventon bikes have been flawless. Am I just getting the cream of the crop on this one? I am not a hard rider and honestly am not huge on using throttle or assist even.

I am heaver at 250ish but I am riding the bike on trails and fairly good city streets. No jumping. Nothing like that. I put a few hundred miles on the other l2 without issues.

I just feel like I might be doing something wrong on this bike. Any suggestions from the community here?

It's about to be out of warranty in the next few months and it has me concerned. I am a diesel mechanic by trade so I am pretty mechanically savvy, but I obviously don't want to be in a position where I have a bike that keeps being a problem.

Any ideas from the community?
