1995 White Widow seeds popped!

With so many other projects going on, it's always exciting to pop new beans! I've been holding onto these seeds for far too long.

I got them from a breeder in 2009 it's from his feminized collection from the 90s. I figured fuck it.

I haven't grown older genetics in a while, but I know how finicky they can be so I opted for organics to keep the plant in control.

Wish me luck!

Update on the reveg

Ever seen branches grow from a bud up close?

The reveg is coming along nicely. Basil looking fans have been swapped out for serrated fans.

For those who asked why I applied LST stakes so early? It was to guide the growth outward, to have better access to the mid section where all the bud material traps moisture. Makes it easier to clean.

She's in full veg mode and looks promising.

Stay tuned.

Chop day for this Sage n Sour

Harvested at the 8 week mark! I'm so pleased with the density and trichome coverage. This was grown in a closet under some LM301H diodes in a 20L fabric pot with livingsoil. All organic.

Pardon the bad lighting, it's cold and wet here in Cape Town today.

Because this cultivar is discontinued and I have no backups, I'm forced to reveg this girl to take some cuts in a few weeks.

Week 1 on the White Widow

Cloned from an original 1995 WW mother. My mate has had these beans since the 90s and he's been keeping a mom for 12 years now.

It's mid autumn in Cape Town now so cold temps are kicking in. This explains the purps already showing.

Excited about this one.

Sun Grown vs LED

x2 Sage n Sour cuts from the same mom. Same 20L fabric pots with living soil and organic inputs.

The only variable is light source+ environment.

The results are staggering.

Can you guess which is which?

She's officially hit the 2 week mark under 20/4 lighting cycle. Some shoots are ahead of schedule so I figured it's time for a new home.

She'll be living in a 10L fabric pot with some Freedom Farms living soil, worm castings and some mycorrhizal fungi to kickstart the roots.

Stay tuned.

Lost all my equipment in a domestic dispute, but managed to get away with my lights.. that's it.

This is currently being grown in my closet! The will to live on these plants are amazing.

Anyway, she's now at week 7. Still looks to be about 10 to 14 days away.

We're now 14 days since harvest. Since then, she's been on 20/4 lighting schedule.

This micro grow experiment turned into a keeper pheno.

Next up! We'll remove the lingering flower material, then she'll be up-potted to a 10L.

Being a home grower, I've kinda moved away from traditional cloning a while ago and only kept phenos around who proved they deserve space in my grow.

Revegging is slow, but totally worth it if you like bushy plants without much canopy manipulation.

Go on, give it a try. Totally worth it.
