People need to start realizing Tengen had a death amp here
People always bring up how Tengen took on Gyutaro and Daki with 1 eye and 1 arm, while heavily poisoned and protecting everybody, but its most of it really just overhyped, untrue and taken out of context.
In healthy base form, Tengen gets outsped by a Gyutaro who's carrying Daki, and lands a counterattack that Tengen couldn't fully stop which tells us that Gyutaro at the minimum is slightly above Tengen.
Gyutaro through the battle splits his attention and has to process two battles between Daki vs Zenitsu and Inosuke as well as his own active battle against Tengen and Tanjiro simultaneously. He also has to split half of his blood sickles and rotating circular slashes between the two groups of opponents, which would make it much easier to go defend against and respond to.
Tanjiro is preventing the blood sickles and obis from inflicting Tengen with injuries, and there's a point where Gyutaro catches Tengen in a pincer with blood sickles and himself, which is a Gyutaro with only half of his blood sickles at his disposal. Gyutaro is also shown to be able to keep up Tengen & Tanjiro's surprise attacks while decomposing poisons in his body and having divided attention.
At the end of the battle Tengen came back with musical score technique and what many people forget was a death amp. Several characters state that you get massively stronger on the verge of death, and with how much strength people who get them are conveyed to gain, it's arguably bordering the level of strength you obtain from slayer marks, and combined with the fact Tengen had MST which tells him all of the moves his opponents are about to do. People ignorantly use his death amped and psuedo-precog feats against a split attention Gyutaro to make disingenuous arguments that base Tengen at full power could blitz Daki and Gyutaro, when that has never been portrayed to be the case.
In total, Tengen is only physically relative to Gyutaro in base form, in terms of arsenal and attack capacity, Gyutaro even without Daki significantly surpasses Tengen. Just because when Gyutaro went all out against a death amped MST Tengen, it doesn't scale base or even MST Tengen to those levels because they won't have massive amps in stats compared to a mark or a death-amp.
