I’m trying to set up Stremio for a friend who is not technical at all. I want the experience to be as simple as possible: he opens the app, clicks on a movie or episode, and it just starts playing. No choosing streams, no picking quality, no extra steps.

What I’m aiming for:

• Auto-select the best stream without showing options
• Stable playback with minimal buffering
• Clean interface with no confusing add-ons or duplicates

The second part is more important for me long term. I want to manage everything remotely without asking him to do anything. For example:

• Change or renew the debrid service myself
• Update settings or add-ons from my side
• Keep everything working without needing access to his device

Right now I’m not sure if this is possible through account syncing alone, or if there’s a better setup (shared account, specific add-ons, or something else).

If you’ve done something similar:

• How did you simplify the experience this much?
• Is full remote control realistic, or is there a workaround?
• Any specific setup steps or tools you recommend?

I’m trying to avoid a situation where he has to troubleshoot anything himself.
