“Sorry sir, no A class EIP wildcard for you this time”

“Sorry sir, no A class EIP wildcard for you this time”

….guess it will take some more time to gold max my Vulcan

I'd like to touch the topic of cars availability.

At launch, there were 49 cars the majority of which were avaialble via daily packs, legend store or multiplayer. I was a big fan of weekly events for Rezvani, Cien, VLF and Trion, as these events basically set the tone for playing the game for long- you first get Rezvani, then use it get the Cien and so on, and at the very end of the path you saw the Trion, a highly ranked and quite rare car by that time. Basically, we were able to envision our future acomplishments and unlocks long before they we actually got them. The path for some of the best cars, like the Chiron or Regera (or the Akylone later) wasn't clear, and I guess (since I played very casually by that time) it was a celebration when the special events with packs appeared for these cars.

To summarize this era: 90%+ of the cars were regualrly available, and the best cars were available during the SE's with packs.

But what do we have now? There are more than 300 cars in the game. Before the ALU launch the daily packs content and the legend store roster were almost the same as it was at the launch 5 years ago. These days, the majority of cars aren't presented on a constant basis, appearing only during the special event as the support or featured cars, or during the irregular car hunts. Back then the car hunts served as the way of attainging the already available cars FASTER, but now it's the ONLY way of attainging certain cars without spending tokens. Not to mention, that a specific car may not be featured in some kind of events for more than a year.

Increasing the GL cap to 60 with all the new cars being available in the legend store was a good move (although it was like 3(?) years late).

Introducing the Clash and Gauntlet shops were brilliant, as once again we can envision our progress for months or years of gameplay. Putting the great cars like Jesko and Devel into these shop is actually a way of saying "look guys, if you want one of the kings of this game, you can have it, but it will take at least a year of you constantly playing the specific game mode", which I think is perfectly fair and keeps the interest of keep playing the game!

Recently, with spotlights, the GL tries to make more cars being available to start up, but the spotlight rarely provides the necessary amount of BPs to max the car out, and once it's (the event) gone, you are left with an uncertainty of when the car will be featured again.

Franky speaking, WE NEED MORE CARS BEING AVAILABLE ON A CONSTANT BASIS.

We need the evolution of weekly events, like the Rezvani one. Like, once you reach the Collector level 2 or 3, the whole roster of weekly avaialble cars updates. Imagine that instead of the Rezvani you get to collect BPs for Jaguar XJR-50, and Spania GTA instead of Trion.

Every 2 or 3 months we have a patch notes saying "there are X new cars added to the game". Well, great! But don't forget to add one old car into the rotation of regularly available ones.

It will be also great to have an MP exclusive cars. Even if they are not that good, like the recent Mercedes C11, make it be available strictly by playing MP. Current MP1 rewards are bad not because of how cars performs, it's bad because most cars are featured in the Legend Store! Make the players flex their cars by saying "dude, I'm really good in specific mode of the game, look at the car I got by playing it". GL can simply introduce the Multiplayer store similarly to Gauntlet store- you earn points by playing the MP and then spend them on whatever you want, not on a crappy Pininfarina H2 epic.

Current GL acts like a typical capitalst, who got all the resources in the world but deliberately doses what it gives to others. Back then we collected the daily available cars to progress in special events, now we mostly spending tokens or real money to buy some shitty unicorn car BPs, required to get the great car (say hello to Ajlani and FFZero Bps during the Absolut event). I think the game can be better than that. And the better game generates better revenue, not vice versa.

Would be glad to hear your thoughts on it!

Hi all,

This year started with a surprising Jesko Absolut SE, which allowed an f2p or LP only players finally got a top-end S class car. Being one of those, who were able to get this car, I'd like to post a small review, which can shed some light on it's performance, as there were a lot of comments like "this car is tough to drive".

General description of it's performance features:

The first thing that comes to my mind is that it feels like a front-wheel drive car. Probably, it feels so because of the microdrift acceleration feature. The higher your speed, the higher the acceleration boost of the microdrift, so when you initiate the drift at high speed, you can feel a severe understeer sometimes. But then, once you lose the speed when drifing, or when you sharpen the radius of your drift, the drift-acceleration decreases noticeably, which makes this car drift radius much sharper. When performing a 360-floatie. it actually feels quite nice, but it loses the floatieness quite quickly. Punch drift isn't that effective in my opinion- it can and should be used on some wider turns. but it doesn't really lift the wheel off the ground like F5 or Tushek. And the "FWD" feeling hits you exactly during the punches.

But the drift acceleration feature that kills this car sometimes is also it's main power. Let's break down it's value in MP1 and gauntlet.

MP1:

In the MAJORITY of tracks the only competition for JKAB is Imperium (according to my experience of playing LL for the last 4 months). If Arash is driven by a good player, then it's almost impossible to beat it with JKAB. Then, on lesser number of tracks, the Devel and F5 can also do some competition. For instance, Absolut isn't good for Cairo tracks with a 270 turn.

let's skip the alien part of competition, since a relly good player can beat the OK driven JKAB basically with every top ~10 S-class car. With an equally skilled lobby, I'd say JKAB is the 2nd best MP1 car after the Arash.

Now let's touch an unpleasant area: it just doesn't feel really nice to drive! I really love how Tushek performs (sadly, I only have it at 1 star). Same goes for regualr jesko. These cars are very agile and feels like an RC cars. I'm not yet that good with F5 and CC850, so these cars feels "too light" for me, but even they feel much better than JKAB. With the Absolut, you constantly have a feeling like a disaster is about to happen.

Prior to Absolut, my best LL car basically was the Chiron. I was able to get into top 1000 with it. With absolut i'm typically in top 100 during the season, but then drop to 250-500 over the last day. The problem with ranking up in mp1 is the amount of cars that a player can use. With an LP you have 9 fuel slots. Imagine those players, who has multiple great S-class cars with that amount of fuel. So if you only have 1 good s-class car, and even worse, no LP (so only 3-4 fuel slots), then you can forget about high ranks in MP1. Even you drive good, you'll simply lack the number of races, required to be placed high.

Gauntlet:

Yet again, due to a microdrift acceleration, the car is one of the best for gauntlet. I'd say, if you don't have the Imeprium or Tartarus, this car may be your best choice for 50% of the tracks. Also, unlike the MP, with a short Gauntlet tracks it doesn't feel as disasterous to drive, and can be considered as a very reliable car for Gauntlet.

Final thought:

I don't think that you have to be an alien to perform well with this car. Although it might take you a month or two to get used to. The top speed is amazing, no air accel penalty, quite good nitro capacity and an amazing drift-accel feature makes this car truly amazing and competitive! So if you'll have a chance to get it in the future, I'd say go and get it!
