I am getting ready to build a lean to porch cover for the side of my barn. The concrete patio is 12x40ft. I want to build the patio cover 13x40. 5-6x6 posts on top of the concrete patio “extra thick under posts” at 11’ 6”. With approximately 1ft overhang off patio. My plan is to use all cedar tone lumber with metal roofing on top, 2x10 ledger mounted to pole barn, 2x10 on each side of 6x6. 2x6 or 2x8 cedar tone rafters every 16”, with cedartone 1x4’s as purlins. Can I get away with 2x6’s ? I’m in southern Ohio
