NOT MINE

So my partner stretched his ears (badly) 10 years ago (probably longer) and he mentioned he had a blow out and there was lump from it, had a look, he has an o ring, INSIDE his ear lobe, I can't for the life of me get a picture that shows it properly but I can feel it's in there, it can move around, I just thought I'd share it with everyone to idk, tell you what not to do 🙃 I don't know if this is a thing he can get removed, or if it's okay to just leave it, I'm just speechless and wanted to share 😅

Hello I noticed this morning that my next door neighbour kept going in and out of the house constantly so I asked if they were okay and they flashed me and asked if I was a squatter, I know that doesn't sound like much but I am on my own with a cat, we share a doorway and I need to go out in an hour and a half and I am shaking violently and scared and I don't know what to do

Edit now I'm not as shakey, I live in a flat block, been here since the 7th of April so only a month, the entrance to mine and the neighbours is at the back of the building and there's a front door, hallway big enough for one person to stand in, their door is on the left mine is in front as you walk in, I noticed from 11am that the neighbour kept going in and out every 20-30 minutes(they are going through two doors so it's loud and doors are slamming), he was making groaning sounds and I initially assumed he was being sick, my partner stayed with me last night & he went to work at about 4:30pm from when he left it started getting more frequent and I decided to look through the peephole, all I saw was him leaning out the front door, all I could see was his back and from the middle upwards so couldn't see that he was naked, that door being open has a draft so I decided next time he goes out that ill go out and shut the door, didn't think anything was odd at this point, so I went out and as i opened the door he opened his too, I stupidly asked if he was okay because of the groaning, he quite aggressively said yes and went out his door, he was COMPLETELY naked and leaning on the top of his door frame COMPLETELY unphased that his dick was out and was kind of moving closer, I started shutting the door as quicky as I could and locked it and he yelled through the door asking if I was a squatter, I said no I love here, that's all I said, not that I was alone, that part is not the problem, it's the fact that an older man is stark naked blocking the only exit in a shared hallway, albeit he wasn't necessarily blocking me on purpose but It was in the way and if I needed to go outside I couldn't and especially not walking past a man twice my size that is naked, groaning, acting erratic and shouted through the door quite angrily

now I think about that question the more I am thinking of other weird things that have happened like the fact there's a mountain of letters for their flat that keeps piling up with different names(I thought maybe they'd just moved in too as I hadn't noticed anything else weird at this point) they keep coming in and out at weird hours of the night 1-5am(which I also didn't think anything of because both me and my partner work in bars & have dumb finish times) but that i also hear multiple voices and only briefly in the hallway, the walls are thin and I rarely hear anyone there despite the fact I can hear if anyone in the flat behind mine and the upstairs one does anything at all, I was scared and didn't think it was a big deal which is why i made this post instead of calling the police as I didn't think the police would do anything and here i am after calling them & the emergency line brushing it off & the non emergency telling me someone would check on them in half an hour and it's been 2.

Edit: I called the police, they didn't let me explain the situation properly, told me it wasn't an emergency (6:30pm)

Landlord replied with: "Sorry I’m away, if in danger call the police’s "

2nd edit: (7pm) called the non emergency line and explained it to them, they're going to send an officer over to do a check on if he's meant to be living there and a mental health check, I appreciate and despite my comments being scared of retaliation I am reading and listening to it, I am in the UK and as much as I appreciate the comments about getting tazers and pepper spray, it's not legal here and you can get in even more trouble for having it even if you only used it in self defence so it's a really difficult one here

3rd edit: (3am) from a little after 1am he started going outside again but less frequently, I didn't check the peephole to see if it was still as it was, 2:45am the police finally arrived, I can't tell if he answered or if they just left but I'll keep updating when I figure it out and/or call them for an update, but I've heard nothing so far

So first off, my partner viewed the flat when I was at work, I told him things to look out for but tbh he did some basics but didn't do a very good job of checking everything, he's also extremely anxious so I do take the blame here for how this has worked out, none of them are the hugest deals but they're all inconvenient and a few I feel like may cause us issues in the future

the living room door, does not shut because it's not been put on properly (this is an issue because I have an indoor cat and I don't want him to get outside so I need to shut that door if he's in there to open the front door if someone is there and he's quite skittish so I don't want to scare him since he's already scared of the sounds of doors and then immediately being picked up or chased(I say chased because as I said, he's skittish and needs everyone to approach slowly or he panics) into another room immediately as something else scary just happened)

the extractor fan above the oven, doesn't work

The shower head is all kinds of messed up and shoots in 50 different directions(I know it's replaceable, I just don't know if it's something I would be allowed to replace myself without that being a reason to take our deposit later)

The metal strip that is under the bathroom door, isn't attached correctly and we keep tripping over and having to move it back constantly

The seal on the bottom of shower screen doesn't even touch the bath so when we shower the water leaks onto the floor, which is then gonna go under that metal strip that isn't even really attached and I think that may cause us issues later.

I know none of these things are huge deals, but they are all inconveniences and our rent is already quite high so I don't want to have to pay to fix all of these things myself if I can help it, and I have heard so many awful things about landlords that I worry I may get deposit taken for fixing the things that were broken in the first place

any advice would be really appreciated
