I have all privacy settings off, I have told it to stop responding with tabs. and it is causing major hallucinations along with the inability to recover.
PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
I’ve turned off every setting that should disable context, yet Copilot keeps turning it back on and injecting that browser‑tab metadata even when I’m already in a conversation and referencing things it just said. I’m a very visual person, so I organize my research using multiple browser windows and tabs, and I often open a fresh Copilot tab just to keep things separated. I do not use copilot for what are in or on my webpages. however, I do research a lot of things. Having it in a side tab of the web browser is really convenient. However, copilot keeps re engaging settings, as well as uses the tabs and even keeps try to inject meta-data into my chat and ruins entire chats and causes hallucinations even when i did not ask for it.
Why does this happen, and why can’t I fully disable it? It consistantly shows a popup as well to force the setting back on for "personalization" etc. Also, the new “paste document” system is making things worse. The old behavior—just giving an error for too much text—actually worked because I could tell Copilot to wait until I was done. Now I can’t even see what was pasted, it fails half the time with “Sorry, your document cannot be read back,” and it won’t fall back to plain text even though chunking the text manually would work just fine.
