How in-house is each of the nibs?, educate me

I’m trying to understand Pelikan’s lineup from a real manufacturing perspective

As far as I know, the M200 / M400 / M600 / M800 / M1000 are fully in-house Pelikan, meaning both design and manufacturing of the piston system and nib units are done internally, with their own long-standing nib geometry and production.

Where things get unclear for me is everything outside the M-series.

Specifically, I’m trying to understand two things:

First, the Pelikan Pura. Is it actually in-house both in nib design and manufacturing, or is the nib (and possibly other components) outsourced and simply specified/assembled by Pelikan? In other words, is it closer to true in-house production, a hybrid (Pelikan-designed but externally manufactured nib), or essentially OEM with Pelikan branding and industrial design input?

Second, the entry lines like Pelikano, Twist, Jazz and Neo. How should these actually be classified in terms of OEM level? Are we talking ,fully OEM nibs (standard industrial nibs with minimal changes, semi-OEM (customized nib geometry or tuning under Pelikan specification or Pelikan-designed but externally manufactured systems?

The Pura in particular seems to be in a gray area between categories, as it is on the Pelikan Passion Fine Writing website.

I've wanted this pen for a long time, I only recently got it because I found it at a really good price 🥺

It truly feels like writing on air. It has surpassed my favorite, the Pilot E95S M Burgundy/Ivory. It’s absolutely fantastic, and I’m very happy to own such an incredible pen.

in my collection. What ink would you recommend to enhance that feeling of lightness and smoothness? So far I’ve used Kon-Peki and Lamy T52 Royal Blue.

Up to now, I’ve tried Platinum 3776 B nibs, Lamy steel nibs, Pilot Custom 74, Prera and MR (all medium), TWSBI Eco, Sailor PGS FM, and several Parker, Kaweco and Majohn nibs. None of them feel quite like this wonderful pen. Its reputation is completely deserved.
