I applied for the 2026 cycle and got 8 waitlists and 1 acceptance. I was accepted to Syracuse with a really good financial aid package. However, I am having a hard time thinking about the fact that I would be living in Upstate NY for 3 years. I want to go into entertainment law and ideally wanted to go to school in California or NYC. Is it bad for me to go to Syracuse with the intention of transferring after 1L? I just really don’t want to wait another year to start law school.
