i didn’t realise how bad my old recliner was until i got this one

i didn’t realise how bad my old recliner was until i got this one

my old manual recliner had become a complete nightmare. the faux leather started peeling, my back would sweat like crazy, and closing the footrest meant aggressively kicking it down like i was doing a leg press at the gym

finally got fed up and decided to upgrade to a motorised one. checked out a few stores and ended up getting a motorised fabric recliner from the sleep company for approx ₹36k

definitely more expensive than my previous recliner, but it has massively upgraded my weekend movie + gaming sessions

the best part is obviously the comfort. you just hold the button and it slowly reclines, also intentionally chose fabric this time because leather in this heat is just not it

only annoying bit is that since it’s motorised, it needs to stay plugged in. figuring out how to route the power cable neatly has been a pain. and if it’s unplugged, it’s basically just a normal sofa, still comfy ofc.

but yeah, the lounging experience is elite and it looks great in the living room but how are people with motorised recliners - how are y’all hiding the cables?

When the songwriter finally drops their own music

as a beginner songwriter, seeing someone like Sahil Cheema who was a writer for artists like Raf Saperra and some other big artists release an EP that is a banger and feels so personal to him is an inspiration. I always feel songwriters never find their voice and release their own music maybe due to comfortability or lack of confidence maybe(that is my case rn) but I also dream of making my own so love to see songwriters turn into artists like Sahil

didn’t think those restaurant discounts actually worked

went out for dinner at this "hidden gem in bandra" yesterday and the damage was pretty hefty, it was my birthday treat so I had to pay up, my friend booked the table from district and we got a discount at checkout, nothing that magically but enough to make it hurt a little less. Didnt know these discounts actually work always thought it was a gimmick

my girlfriend is so gullible(in a nice way)

Bhai mast lazy saturday enjoy karra tha till my gf texted that we had date night planned tonigh,

Weve been planning for a date night for so long(atleast she thinks i was) and ik I couldnt cancel now,

i hadn’t booked anything. every decent place i checked was either full or had timings that made no sense.for a solid 15 minutes i was convinced ke aaj kalesh hone wala hai, checked District tho as a last shot and somehow found a table at a place she’d actually been wanting to try.

she thinks i had it planned all along 😭😭😭😭😭😭
But i guess sometimes its alright to lie if the lie is harmless

bengaluru people planned mother’s day more seriously than their careers apparently

thought i was being responsible checking reservations early morning today.

turns out the rest of bangalore booked things 2 weeks ago like functioning adults.

every decent restaurant:

sold out. every backup restaurant:

also sold out. i genuinely started mentally preparing apology speeches before somehow finding a table at Nila on District.

today has been unnecessarily stressful for a sunday.

How did you guys celebrate mothers day?

thought i had plenty of time to book mother’s day dinner in delhi

I really thought I was being smart by checking this morning.

Opened a few apps to book dinner for tonight and every place I had in mind was already gone. spice route gone, indian accent gone, even the backup options.

At one point I was just staring at my phone wondering how the entire city managed to plan ahead except me.

I was fully prepared to act like waiting 90 minutes at some random restaurant was part of the plan.

Checked District as a last shot and somehow found a table at a place my mom actually likes.

Genuinely felt like I got away with something.
