Flying in India

I am a commercial pilot with around 285 hours including multi add on as well as instrument. I am working on CFI, but have no interest in becoming one. The large consensus of people say if you don't want to be a CFI, then don't be one. So I have been looking at converting my license to an Indian license and flying there since I have family living there. All my training has been done in the States, so everything I have is in accordance with FAA rules. I wanted to know if anyone here has converted their license from FAA to DCGA and how long it took, and how likely am I to get hired flying in India with my current time?

I applied to the Tropic Ocean Airways FO position the day it opened last month, it is important to note I did not have a seaplane rating. But the position did not have it listed as a requirement. I assumed if accepted they would require me to get it and I would get it then. But more than a month later and I have not heard anything back. Wanted to know if anyone who applied has recieved a rejection or a invite to an interview. Thanks.
