I've been talking to a lot of RBTs and the same thing keeps coming up. Want to ask the sub directly because I might be onto something or I might just be hearing what I want to hear.
What I keep wondering is why there's no way to just pick up extra hours somewhere else without leaving the job you have. Companies have unfilled cases. RBTs have gaps. Leave one job for the promise of more at the next and the cycle repeats itself.
I've been thinking about this for a while and think I figured out a solution. But I want to pressure-test it before I go further.
I'm building something around this — a way to browse extra cases that fit your existing schedule, anonymously, without your current employer seeing you. Capped at 20 hours/week so it stays supplemental and free for RBTs. It will also take distance into account so you're not driving more than you want.
Before I go further I want to know if I'm wrong:
Is the hours problem actually #1, or is something else worse?
Would you actually pick up extra hours at another company, or does a second W-2 sound exhausting?
Is browsing anonymously from your current employer a real concern or am I projecting?
Want pushback. If it's a dumb idea I'd rather hear it now. Happy to share what I've built DM me, not dropping a link.
