Dewalt battery inverter vs power station

Currently have 3 dewalt batteries and am planning to get at least two more as soon as i find a good deal. I’m also planning to purchase a portable power station for power outages (fridge, freezer, charging) and I’m wondering if a dewalt pure wine wave inverter would be better than an all-in-one power station. Specifically I’m looking at the MillTech 1000k power tool battery inverter, which is $329 on the LDS Reliance site. There are similar products on Amazon as well. I like the idea of being able to utilize the stored energy in the dewalt batteries whenever needed. And there’s likely less that could go wrong with the inverter + batteries option. If a dewalt battery dies they are easy enough to replace whereas if a battery died inside of a power station it’s more likely to be useless to us. At the same time, with the MillTech, I’d be paying about the same for an inverter as I would be paying for an all-in-one power station which obviously comes with its own battery, and I feel like I’d be getting less for the money.

What do you guys think?

How to remove this metal

Minor accident left me with this sheared metal on the bottom of the door. Very dangerous and need to remove. Would I use an angle grinder with metal cutting wheel? Then grind it down with a grinding wheel? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Considering the Autel/Gendome Home 3000 and would love any feedback. A lot of the reviews and videos I’ve come across are from its release 3 years ago. There’s a coupon that drops the price to $700. I don’t expect it to be perfect, but this would be a big purchase for us and I want to make sure it will last us long enough to cover emergencies in ver the next few years at least.

$10k budget

We have the basics covered: food, medical supplies, water/filtration, gardening supplies, shelter, tools and backpacking gear.

We have about $10k that we are considering investing in more serious preparations. I’m looking to get some feedback on what others would suggest incorporating. We are in central Texas and worry mainly about the grid failing and gas prices affecting our ability to keep the family safe from the heat.

Looking to purchase a battery for our backup solar setup. We are in central Texas. We would be powering two window units, one fridge/freezer, Rv lights, tv, 2 desk fans, laptop and phone charging for 2-3 days. From what I understand LifePo4 is the type of battery we should be looking for. With an estimate usage of 14-15 kWh daily, what size battery would I be looking for? Can someone point me in the right direction?
