I know the royal road is a double edged sword when it comes to prospective authors and for this category of people there can be as may negatives as their are positives.

For people who are posting there for other reasons like myself who thinking of posting just to use the text to speech on my own work, it’s much better than my devices inbuilt version. What are the downsides?
I am not looking to build a following although I’m not opposed to it as might be good for ideas and spotting plot holes.
I’m not looking to become and author or be paid for my book in any form, like I said just thinking of posting for the text to speech.
