Pregnancy and leasing

Hi all,

Wondering peoples thoughts on this.
I’m an adult amateur and finally feel ready to lease. I would have leased earlier but recently moved.

I am hoping to get pregnant in the next year. Not sure when/if it will happen (I’m older).

I’ve read a lot about how a lot of GYNs are ok with riding as long as it’s nothing crazy till 4-6 months (I’ve read some people ride for longer!)

My questions are:

  1. What would your comfort be if you were leasing a horse and if you found out that person got pregnant? Would you terminate right away or allow the person to ride based on her doctors recommendations?
  2. Does a typical leasing contract mention anything about pregnancy? I would assume not but I actually have no idea. I’ve seen trail riding places deny pregnant women. Never noticed it any other contracts with trainers I’ve signed.

In general I’m hoping to lease a chill horse that’s safe. I’m not interested in any speed events. Just want a horse to bond with really and to keep working on my seat/time in the saddle.

Thanks for reading!

Hi all,

This might be a weird request but curious to see what others say.

My fiance and I want to have about a 70 people wedding.

I would love to do it in a non traditional setting (aka not a golf course or church) but would love to do it in a place that would support a non-profit or would be for a good cause.

I know I’ve seen lots of people mention Santa Cruz parks locations.

Does anyone know of any other such thing?

I saw corralitos women’s club mentioned and liked the idea of a venue/place like that.

Alternatively, love the idea of a wedding on a ranch. So if any ideas, would love the input! Thank you again.
