Character "lost" after update to Enhanced Edition
Hi there, hope someone can help me and give me a hint:
I bought the game a week or so ago during the sale, installed it and started playing right away - without paying too much attention, I have to admit.
For some reason Steam did not install the Enhanced version, but the public beta branch of the old version, which I only realized as of today.
So I made a copy of my safe, installed enhanced, put back my safe into the right folder and launched the game.
At first, everything seemed fine - the game showed my safe with my level 33 character, so I fired it up only to be prompted to create a new character.
I finally did that to see what will happen - and found out that my world as well as my old character obivously still exist - went to my old base, and all was there, but marked as not accessible beause it "does not belong to me". My old character is lying in front of the base, marked as unconcious.
So is anyone of you aware of a way to gain access to my old character again? As he has not vanished, I guess there should be a way, but I don't know how - and searching Google only pointed me to server migration hints, while I only played single player, not online nor co-op.
Any hints would be highly appreciated!
