My friend introduced CharacterAi to me (just sharing his interests and the scenarios he’s been playing around with). Is it just for roleplaying? Or is do these AIs have more utility?

I’ve seen several products similar to this over the years like Janitor AI, Tavern, Avatar, Pollybuzz, etc etc. So, I was wondering how they all stack up to one another. Especially if I might have to shell out for the subscription. Thanks in advance!
