I’ve always loved the Fabulous Hudson Hornet and wanted one as a dream car someday, especially painted in the iconic Doc Hudson livery. Since realistically owning a real Hudson probably isn’t in the cards, I started wondering what a modern tribute to that idea would look like on a Mustang, which is a car I already love and want to own long term.
The goal wasn’t to make a cartoon replica or meme build, but something that felt like a believable modern stock-car-inspired Mustang while still honoring the original Fabulous Hudson Hornet style. I know the renders aren’t perfect, but they helped me get the overall vision across.
I know themed builds aren’t for everyone, and I’m totally open to critiques and suggestions. Ideally it would be a manual 5.0 to capture the sound and presence of the Hudson Hornet, but the EcoBoost honestly fits the underdog story of the Hudson Hornet a little better. Curious to see what people think.
