1st time cat owner. One day this cat just showed up near our trash can and became our indoor cat.

This cat is in love with me. She follows me everywhere and has to be on my lap or in my face anytime I stop. Not really an issue unless I'm cleaning. She will lay infront of the vacuum or mop right in the middle of me using it. Folding clothes she just gets in the way. I play with her all day long but after a big I have to break up my vacuuming. I am hesitant to put her in a room while I do this but I need to get chores done. Any ideas?
