Am I being stupid about a job offer?
I just graduated with my BSN and have not taken my NCLEX yet.
I work as a CNA in a hospital. I was offered a new grad residency two hours away at a different hospital, but within the same system.
I applied for a new grad position on a floor I used to work on and did my practicum at which is also in the hospital I currently work at. I had my preceptor and another nurse email the manager about me during my practicum and the manager asked me to email my resume to her on my last day of my practicum.
Am I being stupid asking for a deadline to accept the offer to see how this other position plays out?
The recruiter works for both hospitals.
I live in a highly competitive area (Oregon) and I don’t want to lose out on an opportunity, but also don’t want to move if I don’t have to.
