Aircraft ownership is more than just buying the airplane — it’s hangars, maintenance, insurance, fuel, annuals, upgrades, and everything in between.
But for many pilots, owners, and aviation enthusiasts, the passion still outweighs the numbers.
The dream starts long before the first flight.

AERO 2026 just wrapped, and we wanted to share a quick perspective from the ground. ✈️
Over the past few days, we had a lot of conversations with aircraft owners, buyers, and aviation professionals. Not just quick chats — real discussions about selling aircraft, how auctions work, and what the current market actually looks like.
As a team working in aircraft auctions at CollectAirs, a lot of the questions we got were around things like reserve prices, transparency, and how bidding plays out in practice.
What stood out to us most wasn’t just the aircraft on display, but how many people are actively exploring different ways to buy and sell. There’s clear interest in more structured and transparent approaches.
Now that the event’s over, we’re following up on those conversations, onboarding new sellers, and preparing aircraft for upcoming auctions.
Curious to hear from others who attended — what stood out to you this year?
