If I play a YouTube video at full volume and stand outside my door, it sounds like if you were sitting on a couch and someone else was sitting on a couch on the other side of a room watching videos on their phone, as in I can hear every word crisp and clear. So I have tried three different rubber weatherstrips, a door sweep, adjusting the locking position, and after adding the weatherstripping it made it even more leaky. I think my doorframe or door is lopsided. I’m thinking either I replace the frame and door, or find a better way to seal the door, but I don’t think that will work because I do think the door is at an angle when shut. I have scoured YouTube and google and as a novice in home improvement with only cabinetry and lvp flooring experience, I am at a loss. I was thinking about making a new door threshold out of wood. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My door to my room is very leaky and you can hear any conversation I have from the living room and vice versa. I’ve tried two weatherstrips one from Amazon and then an md thermoplastic rubber door seal from Lowe’s and they both don’t stick, and also don’t allow the door to close even though I made sure the measurements would allow a tight seal. The gap is 1/2inches. Could anybody please point me in the right direction of how to solve this problem please? Thank you
