Heel dominant PF on both feet for a year, looking for indoor shoes

Hello, I am glad to have found this subreddit. I don’t feel alone anymore after reading all of your posts!

It started a year ago where I started having some light lingering pain after spending a summer doing gardening work and pulling crazy network of roots.

I also been trying to get back into shape and do casual sports for 1-2 hours a week. This is probably the main reason why now both my feet suffer from PF, primarily at the heel.

I’ve seen a podiatrist and I’ve gotten custom orthotics which I use them everywhere I go, in and out of the house. I’ve also seen a physio and been doing the exercises every day.

I’ve gotten gel packs for both hot and cold as well to deal with the inflammation.

From the posts I’ve read, there is not one solution for PF, we have to find the one that works for us. Despite what the professionals have told me, it’s not going to take a few weeks before it’ll go away.

I’ve gotten better shoes for outside walking and sports. I put the custom orthotics in the shoes when I go out. I have the custom orthotics on regular slippers inside.

I was wondering what you guys do with your custom orthotics indoors? Do you have special shoes that you can insert orthotics or do you get them quality shoes?

I’d like your opinion, especially those with PF primarily at the heel what you’re wearing indoors? Do you wear your orthotics indoor as well? I am looking at the following :
- Hoka Ora
- Oofos Ooclog, Oahu or Ooriginal
The Ooclog seems the best option but my feet get sweaty and I worry that it won’t be great in a closed front. All options don’t offer to put in the orthotics though.

Thanks so much and hope you all have a nice recovery!
