I've messed around with Blender on-and-off for years, but this is the first time I've put my skills to the test on a project. I'd been kicking around the idea of true-crime documentary made out of LEGO, and actually planned to make it using stop-motion. But once I started looking into 3D, my whole plan changed.

Fast forward a few weeks to last night, I upload the finished project to Instagram. Get about 10 likes and call it a night. Pretty pleased with myself. When I woke up this morning it had 20k likes!

The engagement kept pouring in all day. As of 10 mins ago, it has passed 100k likes, 500k views, and 42k(!) shares. I'm absolutely floored! I didn't think I'd reach this many people. It's so exciting. The dopamine rush has been unreal.

Interestingly, I've also posted the project on TikTok and YouTube which have both received almost no views at all! Low hundreds. Goes to show we're all at the mercy of the algorithm... I think I hit a bit of luck on IG though.

I'd love to hear what the Blender community thinks - I've still got a lot to learn but am always open to critique from more experienced blender lords!
