Replaced the plastic logo on my N64 with a tiny animated screen
Project name in my head is the UltraJewel64. It's a small LCD that fits where the plastic logo plate or jewel normally sits on top of the console, with an esp32 based controller running the animations. From the front and sides it looks like a stock N64 until it powers on. I've seen plenty of LCD case mods on the N64 over the years, but I haven't seen one that goes in the jewel area specifically, just a few that go behind a modified stock one.
The screen is mounted in a custom 3d printed mount.
Binary and STL are both free posts I can't link here
Happy to answer questions about the screen module, what's driving it, how it's powered, or anything else about the build.
