I read an article many years ago where a woman did an experiment to see what would happen if she didn’t move out of the way first on the street when walking toward a man. I remember that it didn’t go well, and by the end she had some bruises from literally running into people. I think about this article all the time. It might have been in something like Jane magazine or Bust but I really don’t recall. I did a quick search and it’s not a Buzzfeed article and it predates the idea of “manslamming.”
