Context: I live in a flat that has partial light through a window.

I try to sit by the window and do my makeup.

I will look snatched and then when I actually go physically outside and look in my compact mirror, I look cakey and effing terrible!!!

So I started to go onto my terrace to do my face and get an amazing look outside- when I head to dinner, it looks way too shiny and pale.

Am I not doing my makeup in the right lighting? Should I just be aiming for a “middle” where I look a little cakey and pale yet good in either setting?

If you have lighting tips or tricks to get a natural glow regardless of the setting, please share. I don’t understand “where” I can hit the right look in any setting.

What I use:

- CATRICE mattifying primer

- Erborian CC cream (Clair)

- charlotte tillbury brightening concealer

- CATRICE under eye brightener

- TirTir compact in touch up areas

- Huda beauty loose powder

- NARs blush

- YSL all hours bronzer

- Charlotte tilbury matte lipstick

- Essence 18 hour setting spray
