My son is 5 months old and I feel like we don’t really have a great schedule down yet.
Right now he wakes up around 6–6:30am to feed, then goes back to sleep for another ~2 hours and wakes up for the day around 8:30–9am. After that he feeds every 3.5–4 hours, with some short naps throughout the day.
Our evening routine is massage + bath from about 7:30–8:30pm, and he goes down around 8:30pm. But then he wakes up again around 10pm for a feed and sometimes doesn’t fully settle back to sleep until 11–11:30pm.
He’s taking about 6–7 oz per feed and sometimes seems like he wants more. I usually make a 32 oz pitcher for the day.
I guess my main concern is that we can’t seem to get a longer stretch at night — definitely nowhere near a 12-hour window. Is this just normal for this age, or are we doing something wrong with his schedule/feeding?
Would really appreciate hearing what worked for others around this age!
