I’ve been a tour guide in Croatia for 11 years. I’m tired of saying "I'm sorry, you can't join us" to wheelchair users. I’m on a mission to change that. ♿🇭🇷

Hi everyone!

My name is Tonko, and I’m a local guide from Split, Croatia. Over the last decade, I’ve had the privilege of showing thousands of people the beauty of the Adriatic. But there’s a recurring heartbreak in my job: seeing travelers in wheelchairs who are stuck on the sidelines because our infrastructure is difficult and specialized transport is non-existent.

I’ve decided to stop waiting for someone else to fix it. I am launching a mission to start the first truly wheelchair-friendly tour agency in Dalmatia. I am currently fundraising for a specialized Mercedes-Benz T-Class equipped with a professional ramp, designed to make trips to places like Krka National Park and Split Old Town safe, dignified, and seamless. 🚐✨

I’ve also introduced a "Circle of Giving" – I want this project to be sustainable and community-driven. Every donation acts as a lifetime credit for a traveler with a disability, ensuring that the support I receive goes directly back to providing accessible experiences. 🔄❤️

I’m not just here for the funding; I’d love to hear your thoughts. What’s the biggest barrier you face when considering a Mediterranean destination? Your insights will help me build this the right way from day one. You can see my vision and the campaign here: 🔗 https://whydonate.com/fundraising/help-me-launch-the-first-wheelchair-friendly-tours-in-dalmatia-croatia

Thank you for being a voice for inclusive travel. Let’s make the coast accessible for all! 🕊️
