I hip thrust 3 different ways at my gym. The first machine, second machine and smith machine (not pictured).

The second machine pictured I get an incredible pump from and really feel my glutes contract like no other. I also feel like the range of motion is phenomenal, compared to other ways of hip thrusting. BUT I’m going to outgrow it bc I already can lift the whole stack for 3 sets of 12. Which is hitting failure though atm. I have played around with other ways to increase weight here as well however (using a band across my lap with dumbbells hanging down in addition works well aka think Bella booty set up )

First machine I feel range of motion is still decent and set up looks similar to other machine but I don’t feel my glutes contract nearly as hard with that one and feel way more quads when using. Upside is it’s plate loaded so won’t outgrow it.

Finally the smith machine which obviously won’t outgrow that either. And I do feel pretty good glute contraction. But def nowhere near the second machine. But range of motion is def not ideal. Yes I could put plates under my feet but I hate doing that I just don’t like it and I feel like it messes up my form idk.

Basically is there going to be a big difference with glute hypertrophy from these different machines? Is the range of motion being better more important then struggling to progressive overload? If you were me which would you use for optimum glute growth?

Also random but is there anywhere to post on Reddit about where to find gyms with better hip thrust machines in my area which is delco PA?? Bc I would LOVE a hip thrust machine with a belt that is plate loaded lol.
