Why is it all just music for 12 year old white boys every time I join an OBC space. Folks gas up THUG but clearly have never played it or played it on mute cus I never see Rap artists on the OBC wiki or in any of these conversations. Even Lebron James had a copy of Get Rich or Die Tryin as a teenager that's how formative and popular that album was lol. Instead all I see is Blink-182 and Green Day over and over, no Eminem or 50 Cent or Snoop or Cam'ron or Ice Cube. Pharaoh Monche Mos Def and Jay-Z all collabed with Linkin Park and Kottonmouth Kings went triple platinum in my house, everyone at my school was obsessed with Tha Carter III, The Pack were a cute little group of skater boys making club bangers, Paul Wall and that whole bling rap / "say your area code for the 500th time on the chorus in case they already forgot" era was fun as fuck to smoke to, Three 6 Mafia put me onto spooky weird shit and made me a ghetto goth for a while. Genuinely what's going on? It's not really helping combat the image that OBC is just tryhard poser slop when we fixate on the same 3 Pop Punk bands and nothing else.
