Terrible internet speed on MacBook Air 7,2

I’m trying to switch over to Linux on an old MacBook Air, I’ve tried fedora but WiFi stuttered constantly and Bluetooth was awful so I’m trying mint. My issue right now is internet is working but is noticeably slow. Although the connection was spotty the performance was noticeably faster on fedora when attempting to load a webpage. I have the Broadcom-sta-dkms version 6.30.223.721-23ubuntu1.1 driver installed and I’ve turned off power saving in the WiFi chip. What else could be causing the slow speeds? I’m on the main cinnamon version, would Xfce help? Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

MacBook Air Bluetooth Issues

I’ve gotten fedora kde running on an old 2017 intel MacBook Air and am just down to the issue of Bluetooth being hella choppy and unusable. From what I’ve been reading it has something to do with WiFi? Has anyone figured out how to get Bluetooth and WiFi to work simultaneously? Any help would be appreciated!
