How can i stay safe?

I just bought a random soldering iron its probably nothing too advanced i wanna learn the basics first.

I don't trust AIs, and, I'll use eth info you guys hopefully provide, but I asked gemini and it told me to wear safety glasses, do it in a ventilated area, clean the iron everytime and cover it in solder to protect it.
