I have a single ventricle heart defect, which is a CAL condition. I was denied 3 times somehow anyways. At my ALJ hearing, the judge confirmed:

  1. I met the criteria for multiple blue book disability listings
  2. There were no jobs I could do (seconded by VE)
  3. My condition has existed since birth and is degenerative, and the SSA knew I had it (I received SSI for it as a baby)
  4. I met the criteria for multiple compassionate allowance listings
  5. That my doctors all agreed that I was disabled and that I have never and could never work at substantial gain.

Unfortunately it appears the judge forgot all of this when they denied me anyways, just like everyone else reviewing my case apparently. I'm just genuinely in awe that the system failed this completely. I share some blame though, I made the mistake of being terminally ill at 27 and not 55. I don't understand how it's even possible to be approved tbh.
