This is my first time applying to med school. My stats are a 3.71 cGPA, a 3.66 sGPA, a 506, and then a 508 on the MCAT. Decent EC with volunteering at the hospital for 4 years, shadowing 4 different physicians for a total of 150 hours (I know, not a lot), and doing 4 co-author presentations/posters at SKMC. I worked with patients for almost a year at my internship, doing cardio research on health disparities, too.

I applied to 34 schools (some I submitted secondaries later on between Nov-Jan), and I got 1 interview invite. Now I'm waitlisted for that school. I'm retaking my MCAT in three days for the next cycle. I don't want to give up hope, but I just feel super embarrassed and discouraged.

Has anyone been in this spot before? How did you get through it?

PS: my dad is stressing me out. I don't want to disappoint my parents. It's just super stressful to feel this way. Sorry if this sounded whiny but I'm freaking out.
