I’ve read that sleep is one of the most important aspects to living a longer life. But then it got me thinking, if someone dies prematurely but they sleep less than someone who dies at a normal age but sleeps the recommended amount, who really lives longer?
The person who sleeps less is awake more than the person who sleeps the recommended amount. Let’s say someone sleeps 4-6 hours vs someone sleeping 8-9 hours. The time awake vs time asleep adds up over the years, so if the person with less sleep dies in their 60s and the person with normal sleep dies in their late 70s/early 80s, who is really awake and experiencing life more?
Hopefully this made sense… late night thought
